I have been super excited to share the news with you guys and I can finally talk about it! Some of you in Cape Town might have seen me scouting the streets for super cool fashionistas and the reason why has been because of an awesome new concept launched by SUPERGRAVITY and it is known as ANDROMEDA.AF - a street fashion channel on Snapchat.
The channel has been active for more than a month with original content produced on the ground in cities as far and wide as Nairobi, Paris, London, Los Angeles, New York and Cape Town.
The channel focuses on ‘street fashion’, the looks and trends of everyday fashion from people around the world. Andromeda showcases these looks in realtime with photojournalists across the globe documenting the streets of their hometowns.
As a Snapchat Producer for Andromeda.AF, I want to capture the unique style that Cape Town has to offer and also share more about our culture with the rest of the world. Cape Town has great fashion to offer the world and I am super excited to be a part of showing that to other countries.
Led by Antigravity President Margaret Laney, the launch of Andromeda is SUPERGRAVITY’s first of many steps into owned and operated digital channels. “With 10 billion daily views, Snapchat stories presents an intriguing platform within which to launch a lifestyle entertainment brand,” says Margaret. “Producing content primarily for this ephemeral messaging platform is just the beginning.”
SUPERGRAVITY Founder Marc Hustvedt has this to say about this awesome new concept: “Street fashion is all about real people and their looks in real time. There’s something so personal about it, and Andromeda captures that personal expression with an in the moment experience unlike any other fashion outlet.”
Check out Andromeda's website and make sure to add them on Snapchat with their Snapcode
Cape Town fashionistas, be sure to look your best every day and who knows, I might capture your style on this international platform!
