In the UAE, Fridays are all about brunch - and not your ordinary brunch - it is a fabulous weekend event that gives you a reason to dress up and sip fancy cocktails while catching up with friends.
This weekend 2is1 were invited to The Treehouse restaurant, situated in the Taj Hotel to try out their stylish brunch while enjoying incredible views of the Burj Khalifa. We were welcomed with a glass of Veuve Clicquot champagne and mocktails (for those who prefer something non-alcoholic):
The brunch at The Treehouse Dubai starts off unlike most of the brunches you will find in the city. The table gets a picnic basket filled with delicious tapas style snacks including cheese, bread, ceviche, guacamole, smoked salmon, cured meats and the list goes on...
The brunch offers a live oyster bar where you can customize your flavors and for someone who do not eat oysters, we actually really enjoyed the way it was prepared...super decadent and perfect with a glass of champagne.
Most brunches offer buffet settings only, but the Treehouse caters for every need from the interesting starter basket to a set menu of dishes you can order from. We ordered a variety of dishes including the truffle lobster (which was our personal favourite and comes highly recommended!), duck pancakes, steak tartare and sweet and sour beef:
The selection of desserts were amazing and you definitely should keep a spot in your stomach to try some of them! From cake pops to cakes and ice-cream - the options are endless.
When the weather cools down later in the afternoon, it is ideal to sit outside and mingle at the Veuve Clicquot bar. Make sure you check it out because the view really is something to remember when in Dubai.
Brunch at the Treehouse takes place every Friday from 2PM-5PM and offers different packages priced from Dh345-545. To make your reservation, contact The Treehouse at 050 648 3083. A big thank you to The Treehouse for hosting us and for the lovely Katrina for being the most amazing hostess!
